As with all the other tenant types rentals to professionals are categorised and premiums adjusted to suit. A professional rental is a term that applies to anyone who is working or paying for their own rent. They also do not fit into another category such as a student.

Professional rentals are sometimes viewed as being one of the easiest to manage however not all properties are suitable for the professional market. Premiums for this tenant type are calculated accordingly.

A situation that can arise with professional renters is that their situation can change due to unemployment. Please remember that any tenant who's situation changes could invalidate your policy. It is a good idea to place in your short term tenancy agreement that the tenant has to inform you about a change of situation. You should then contact your insurance provider as soon as you know of a change.
