Wigan landlords accredited for hard work
Landlords in Wigan will be awarded for their hard work, after the council has decided to introduce a locally managed accreditation scheme, distinguishing the good landlords from the bad.
The new scheme will differentiate the landlords of Wigan, who will have to join the scheme in order to be recognised. Providing tenants an idea of who is at the top when it comes to looking for a rental property. The landlords, who can join for free, will also benefit from free credit checks and discounted landlords insurance; initially they will need to allow the Councils Housing Strategy Team to inspect their properties, ensuring it complies with Health and Safety Legislations and is appealing to tenants.
The introduction of the scheme, has provided supporters with believe that this could be the end of an era for cowboy landlords, and raising the standards of living for the tenants, who will be more willing to pay larger rental fees if they feel the property is worthy.
Insure My Let Property provides landlords insurance from a panel of specialist let property insurers, to provide landlords with the best let property insurance on the market.
