Unsuspecting Landlords home used as Drug Factory
A landlord in Epsom has found that his rented property was being used as a drugs factory, following a police raid on September 2.
The landlord had contacted police after his suspicions lead to believe that his tenants were carrying out illegal activity in the home. On entry the police found 250 cannabis plants in five rooms over the two storey property with a street value of £50,000.
The tenants of the property were using a large amount of electrical equipment to grow the plants, which could have caught fire at any time causing havoc to the tranquil street in which the home is situated.
Police have asked that residents must report any suspicious activity that could lead to drug busts in their area. Drug misuse needs to be eradicated; therefore finding the source is of paramount importance.
