Two months on for the new Tenants Services Authority
So two months in to being the tenant’s champions for the Tenants Services Authority (TSA) and progress is good, so far.
The TSA was created, to focus on tenant issues, after the review of the affordable housing regulation by Professor Martin Cave for the Government in 2007.
The TSA takes over the responsibility for regulation of the affordable housing sector from the Housing Corporation, with funding now the responsibility of the Homes and Communities agency.
It will soon have an impact on landlords as from next year it is set to get powers to force bad landlords to compensate tenants and make improvements to their housing stock.
News brought to you by Insuremyletproperty.co.uk providing landlords with let property insurance from a panel of UK insurance companies to cover their buildings, liabilities and rent guarantee.
