Property is the wise investment
With the banks giving you a poor rate of interest you would be mad to invest your money in them, so what would you do with a large amount of money? The stock market is only for those who know how to play the market and for those who don't it can be a risky business, or an expensive one if you use a broker. The solution comes in the form of bricks and mortar. Let property is the current investment that many UK investors are choosing to reap the benefits of high returns, with some seeing an 8.5% yield.
The housing market is still seeing a fall in some areas of around 33% in market value. With the economy slowly rising again and each quarter seeing an average market value of a house rising by around 4%, property seems to be the ideal investment for those with cash to invest.
Although those looking to invest into becoming a landlord must be wary, as becoming a landlord for the first time is a risky and confusing business. The FSA have recently announced new regulations and restriction into lending criteria on mortgages and with laws becoming stricter it is important to research before investing.
