Norwich fire tenants homeless
12 apartments in the Thamesview Apartment in Norwich have recently gone up in flames, rendering all tenant's of the time being homeless on Monday 24 August.
One tenant explained that the felt something dripping form the balcony above them and realised that is was engulfed in flames and rescuing their cat they raise the alarm and ran outside.
The Laurel Hill Fire Department arrived at the scene shortly after 2pm to battle with the 12 unit apartment block and mounted an aggressive interior combative strategy. Later experts were allowed to assess the damage and although the two central apartments were ruined by flames the outer flats have remained fairly intact only suffering scarring from smoke damage.
All tenants were accounted for and only two cats needed resuscitating form smoke inhalation. All 17 residents have subsequently been given other accommodation for the night by their landlords Elk Thamesview LLC and will help tenant resume everyday life as quickly as possible.
