Luxury comes at a cost
Park lane and Mayfair are widely known as the UK's hotspots for luxury and expensive housing, with A-list celebrities to world class footballers being amongst some of its high earning residents. The latest property to go on the market is a pair of luxury penthouses priced at a cool £25,000 a week. Each property covers about 10,000 sq ft, each square foot will cost you £500 to renovate. The reason for this high value could be the location or could be that none other than Nicky Haslam designed it, who is best know for his work designing for Hollywood stars.
The penthouses are said to be amongst London's more luxurious residences each one boasting 4 bedrooms and are very generously sized considering the area they are situated in. Although the asking price for the weekly rental may be rather high this is not as high, as could have achived would it have been marketed in the beginning of 2007. You may remember the property that went up for rent in a similar area of London a few weeks ago with the home theatre and car lift, which was originally marketed for £40,000 a week but now only asks £30,000.
