Letting agents do deals with potential customers
When you go to you local supermarket you look for the best deals to save you money. It seems that now letting agents are also adopting this idea by offering discounts and monies off for new customers who want to rent.
It seems that if you have a look at any of the letting websites such as gumtree you will notice that there are many offers such as ‘first months free’ to attract potential customers to renting. Some letting agents have said that a lot of tenants could not afford the first months rent and a deposit so offering the first month free seems to be a positive step towards drumming up more business.
Mean while developers of properties are trying to come up with new ideas to get first time buyers to buy. One developer is offering gas, electric, water and council tax free until summer 2010.
