Let property investors benefiting from the credit crunch
Let property investors are thought to be benefiting from the 38 per cent increase in demand for rental properties since last year.
Many potential house buyers are putting off buying, either due to the current downward spiral of house prices or the inability to secure the necessary funding, and are renting in the meantime.
The worst hit are first time buyers who now have to find a larger deposit to even get the most basic mortgage product.
Also those buyers that have just sold and who are holding out until the market drops further, with the view to grabbing a bargain when the market bottoms out, need a roof over their heads.
With the housing market set to slide for the next year at least it will give another opportunity to some investors to add to their portfolios.
