Buy to let rent rises by more than 1 percent
The UK buy-to-let sector has seen recent falls in the average monthly rental amount in the two months prior to February. Figures released this month have shown that the average monthly rental amount has risen again by 1.2% to £814 a month. This is a very high rise in such a short period of time and while still 1.9% lower than their peak last year it is a positive sign.
The figures from FindaProperty.com have been largely attributed to the decrease in the amount of property available on the market. The figures show that the amount of available property has fallen by 3.6%, which is the lowest they have been for 2 years.
The recent publication that buy-to-let lending has risen has not yet caused an increase in the number of properties sold, increasing the number of let properties available by landlords. The recent concern and speculation over regulations has left potential landlords looking elsewhere for investments.
